1. @ The Crown realize you're on a OVO blog, and this is a Wayne-Drake site. You must be totally out of your mind posting Jay-Z/Kanye > Lil Wayne-Drake on here. These are Lil Wayne-Drake fans you are talking to. I don't see how you can come on the OVO site that is for and about Young Money and type something that Young Money isn't all that compared to Jay-Z. If you're going to talk smack about Wayne-Drake and build up Jay-Kanye, do it on the Jay-Kanye site, not this OVO site. I'm not going to agree with you ever. I'd take Lil Wayne-Drake over Jay-Z/Kanye any day.
2. I'm not going to waste my time comparing Jay-Z to Lil Wayne because that would be like comparing apples to oranges. Clearly Jay-Z and Wayne are different, but have some similarities. Both are brilliantly talented artists -producers, and both are impulsive and are having drama with each other.
I am neutral on this Wayne/Jay ordeal, and I believe, as hard as it is for people to see right now, that it would be most beneficial for Jay-Z and Lil Wayne to collaborate and be friends. They need to put their differences aside. The negativity and tearing each other down is a waste of energy. Lil Wayne and Jay-Z need to do positive things with their energy.
This is the story I heard. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is what I'm gathering.
1. Jay-Z made some derogatory comments about Lil Wayne's dad in a song.
2. Jay-Z made an underhanded offer for Aubrey Drake Graham without respectively going through the manager, Lil Wayne. This is sneaky on Jay-Z's part.
3. Lil Wayne found out about everything that Jay-Z did. How? I don't know. These are rumors, but normal, natural reaction, to be angry. Okay? I would say Lil Wayne was most likely angry when he found out.
4. Lil Wayne meets with Aubrey Drake Graham. Lil Wayne is still angry, takes out his anger on Drake and hits him in the face (rumor or true?).
5. Lil Wayne and Drake release a much needed “I'm Good” which corrects Jay-Z's previous derogatory comments about Lil Wayne's dad.
Is it fair for me to say this situation is a mess? My solution to this is that Lil Wayne and Jay-Z need to schedule a “sit down” mafia dinner date and work this out. If Jay wants Drake, trade Kanye or collaborate Kanye-Drake. If Wayne wants Beyonce or Rihanna, trade Nicki out, or collaborate Beyonce-Rihanna-Nicki. Maybe there should be a Jay-Wayne collaboration just to make peace. What are Jay-Z and Lil Wayne wasting their energy and time fighting about when they could be spending their time and energy in the studio collaborating and making hits?
One other thing I want to add, as far as the rumor about Lil Wayne hitting Drake in the face, that is one of the most disrespectful things one person can do to another. It is NEVER okay to hit someone. Violence is not the way. If you feel angry, you can take it out on a punch bag at the gym. Aubrey Drake Graham is not a punch bag though. If it's true that Lil Wayne hit Aubrey in the face, Aubrey is a VICTIM of violence, and violence cannot be tolerated.
Aubrey Graham is a phenomenally talented artist, an inspiration to us all, a great actor, a great musician, and a phenomenal songwriter. Drake with integrity shares his deepest thoughts and people can relate to that. Drake loves his mother and family. He loves his fans. He has a kind heart, has been a good influence and has selflessly donated his money and time for the benefit of others. I support Drake 100% whatever he decides to do with his music. I feel bad for Drake that he has to be put in the middle of this Lil Wayne/Jay-Z mess. I hope everyone says their “sorry” and “I forgive you”, and get on with life. Life is too short, and this incident is too petty to bicker over. Treat other people the way you want to be treated. That's all I have to say.
